The BAE Systems Products Group began as the Products Group of Armor Holdings, Inc. Through internal product development and the acquisition of complementary businesses, the Products Group grew to $324 million in revenue in 2006 and currently manufactures and sells a broad range of high quality equipment marketed under brand names that are well known and respected in the military and law enforcement communities.
Products Group security products are marketed under brand names that are well established in the military and law enforcement communities. The Products Group has approximately 1,700 employees in 11 manufacturing facilities throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Mexico. The Products Group also provides training services predominantly in connection with the use of its less-lethal products.
The primary users of its security products are federal, state and local law enforcement agencies; local police departments; state corrections facilities; U.S. and allied militaries; highway patrol; and sheriffs' departments. The Products Group markets and delivers its products through an extensive network of approximately 500 domestic and international distributors and agents, and a sales force of over 50 representatives and specialists.
