Founded in 1946 as a specialty manufacturer of projection microscopes for the textile industry and has evolved into a well-known provider to the forensics and crime scene markets, especially in Europe and Asia. The company also develops optical subsystems and subcomponents for electronic OEMs including IBM, Siemens and Phillips.
The Projectina document examination equipment consists of special light sources, lenses, magnifiers, filters and software used to determine document authenticity and to check for counterfeit currency. In addition the company produces comparison microscopes which are used to evaluate crime scene evidence including ballistics and bullet casings.
